Black Scholars Program
The Black Scholars Program provides recognition, assistance, and incentives to students who achieve and maintain a B or close to a B average in academic classes while in high school. Early Recognition Students are identified at each school throughout the region.
These students are invited to participate in workshops to help prepare them for college and continued success in high school. At the end of their senior year, those students who have a seven semester verified B average in academic classes are identified as Black Scholars, and are honored at a banquet and are publicly recognized.
UPrep is proud of its Black Scholars and what they have achieved!
Honor Roll
Each quarter students receive report cards. Grading is based on a 4.0 scale. Students who receive e 3.8 and above are listed on the High Honor Roll. Students achieving a 3.2-3.79 GPA are recognized on the Honor Roll.
Student of the Month
UPrep is proud of the young men attending the school and recognizes a Student of the Month for their character and ability.
Writer of the Month
Each month, UPREP acknowledges the exemplary writing of its students. The Writer of the Month Contest is open to students of all grade levels. Each winner’s written work is posted in the school’s main office. Students also receive award certificates and a prize for their accomplishment.
