President’s Message

Welcome to University Preparatory Charter School For Young men, better known in our community at “UPREP Rochester”!

It has been 8 years since we opened our doors and UPREP is fully grown with 450 young men in grades 7 through 12. I am extremely proud of our young men, their accomplishments and our school.

This years’ graduating class was our third. Our senior class included 73 young men and we graduated 72 for a 99% graduation rate! The graduates have been busy making career and college plans and I am confident that they will leave UPREP prepared for the “next phase” in their lives. I know their families and our UPREP family are extremely proud of them!

Our art, music, sports, CTE and extra curricular programs are outstanding, and our young men represent UPREP Rochester extremely well.

We have created a safe environment for young men to learn. We will continue to challenge our boys academically, raising the expectations and pushing them to be successful students in all areas of instruction. Our average daily attendance is well above 90%, a testament to a school where students enjoy attending.

With the dedication of parents, faculty, and staff, we will make a difference. Our young men will leave UPREP Rochester with a high school diploma. They will be ready for the challenges of higher education, the career world, and be ready to take on the challenging society in which we live.

We are now accepting applications for the 2017-2018 school year!
